시간 표현과 동사의 시제일치
과거 : three years ago, in 1998, last week
현재완료 : since 1988, for three years, so far
시간 표현과 동사의 시제일치
과거완료 : by 1997, by the time + 과거
미래완료 : by next May, by the time + 현재
주절의 동사와 종속절의 동사 일치
주절 종속절
ex) We have been friends / since we met at school.
주절 종속절
ex) I said / that I couldn't go to school tomorrow.
가정법 : If절의 시제와 주절의 시제일치
1) 가정법 현재
ex) If she comes here, I will call you.
2) 가정법 과거 (현재사실)
ex) If I had enough money, I would buy a house.
3) 가정법 과거완료 (과거사실)
ex) If we hadn't gone, I wouldn't have seen.
시간/조건 부사절
1) 시간 부사절 (when, after, before, until, once, as ssn as)
: 미래 대신 현재, 미래완료 대신 현재완료
2) 조건 부사절 (If, unless)
: 미래 대신 현재
동사원형을 쓰는 특별구문
1) Demand / Order / Insist / Require / Request / Suggest / Propose / Rocommend + that + 주어 + 동사원형
ex) My momdemands that I be on time.
2) It is important / necessary / essential / vital / imperative / advisable + that + 주어 + 동사원형
ex) It is important that the director come from Korea.
