수식어의 개념 

부가적인 요소인 수식어는 

문장의 필수 성분인 

주어, 동사, 목적어/보어에 

의미를 더해주는 역할을 하는 성분이에요! 

 

 

수식어 거품이 될 수 있는 것 

전치사구 

ex) At the conference, we attended some lectures.

to 부정사구 

ex) I came here to see you.

분사(구문)

ex) The bag left in the lobby belongs to Jenn.

관계절 

ex) I have a friend who works hard.

부사절 

ex) When the concert ended, all of the audience applauded.

 

 

수식어 거품이 오는 자리 

[수식어]+주어+동사 

ex) Despite the economic slowdown, the company will proceed with the expansion.

주어+[수식어]+동사 

ex) The people waiting in line are becoming impatient.

주어+동사+[수식어]

ex) Max offered to give me a ride even though he was very busy.

1. 문장의 동사 찾기 -> 2. 주어 찾기 -> 3. 수식어 거품에 [ ]표시 

ex) Candidates [applying for the job] must take an exam.
