오늘은 헷갈리는 기초문법 완벽하게 정리하려고 합니다! 

전치사 vs 접속사 

같이 정리해볼까요?

 

 

전치사 : 명사/명사구 앞에 놓여서 

다른 명사와의 관계를 나타내는 품사 

전치사 뒤에는 완전한 문장이 올 수 없음 

 

접속사 : 주어+동사 형태의 절 앞에 놓여서 

문장과 문장을 이어주는 역할을 하는 품사 

한 문장에 두 가지 이상 이야기를 할 때 사용 

 

 

1) ~하는 동안 

전치사 : during , for 

ex) Farmers are extremely busy during the harvest.

 

접속사 : while

ex) We were burgld while we were away.

 

 

2) ~임에도 불구하고 

전치사 : in spite of, despite 

ex) Their business remained strong despite the recession.

 

접속사 : although, even though, nevertheless, even if 

ex) Although the sun was shining, it wasn't very warm.

 

 

3) ~때문에 

전치사 : due to, because of 

ex) The team's success was largely due to her efforts.

 

접속사 : because 

ex) We couldn't find a place to eat because the restaurants closed.

 

 

4) 전치사와 접속사의 형태가 같은 단어 

before ~전에 

since ~이후로 

like ~처럼 

until ~까지 

 

ex) Let's wait until the snow stops. 

      He continued working up until his death.
